How Thrillifying! Squigs Uses All the Green Ink Imaginable to Sketch Rachel Tucker, Kara Lindsay & the Cast of Wicked

Who knew broom rides could be transatlantic? After a long-running U.K. stint in Wicked, Broadway alum and West End favorite Rachel Tucker is defying gravity once more as Elphaba—this time, on the Great White Way. To celebrate her return to the swankified tuner, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson penned this swankified sketch of the newest witch at the Gershwin Theatre, flanked by her co-stars Michele Lee as Madame Morrible, Fred Applegate as the Wizard and former vlogger Kara Lindsay as Glinda. Can you tell what scene is depicted? Here’s a hint: The green girl’s about to belt it out in midair.



About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet.
